I was born in Palatine, IL (a northwest suburb of Chicago) and grew up there until I left for college at Miami University in the fall of 2000. I grew up in a great and loving family but had never understood the central message of Christianity until I went to the high school youth group at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, IL. It was then, my senior year of high school, that I heard the gospel and that Jesus Christ had died for my sins and that I could have a personal relationship with Him if I responded to His invitation that is extended to each and every person in the world.
At Miami University I pursued a degree in Secondary Education with a focus in social studies; I also minored in history and political science. It was in college though that my relationship with God really took off. Through the staff and students involved with Campus Crusade I began to learn how to walk with Christ in my everyday life. As this happened my desire to serve others and tell them about Christ grew.
I began to get involved as a student leader, my sophomore year, through leading Bible studies on campus and meeting regularly with friends and other students to help them grow in their relationship with Christ as well as helping them tell others about knowing God personally too. It is my joy now to continue to serve the Lord in full-time ministry for Campus Crusade with my beautiful wife Kristen at our Alma Mater, Miami University in Southwest Ohio. Go Redhawks!
I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. My parents, Greg and Lynn House, are strong Christians and I grew up attending church, as my parents were a part of leading the high school ministry there. I came to know Jesus through a conversation with my mom when I was very little. My dad passed away from brain cancer when I was 13 years old. It was through this experience that my relationship with Jesus began to grow. It was a huge trial for me and my family, yet it deepened and strengthened my faith.
I attended Miami University of Ohio and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts: Studio Art/Photography. I first got involved with CCC my freshman year. I knew Miami had CCC and decided before going to college that I wanted to be involved since my parents had been when they were in college at Purdue. Right away I joined a Bible study and attended retreats and conferences. Soon after I began to start leading Bible studies and being more involved as a student leader in the movement. I am so thankful for my involvement with CCC and hope to be a blessing to others as they were to me!
We are missionaries with Campus Crusade for Christ-- a part of the Campus Ministry of CCC, working with college students at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Our decision to join staff was a fairly easy one. We both fell in love with the ministry as we saw God use it in our lives as we were involved as students at Miami. Our desire is to see every college student know someone who truly follows Jesus Christ! Our heart is to give every student the opportunity to say “yes” to a personal relationship with Jesus. Not only do we hope to reach the students at Miami University, but all over the world!!
We were married July 10, 2005 in Cincinnati, Ohio! It has been a blessing to be able to serve the Lord together as a married couple! We met Kristen’s freshman year, Scott’s junior year, at Miami during one of Campus Crusade’s spring break trips and we’re married Kristen’s senior year as Scott was an intern. It was a wonderful first year of marriage! We joined staff with CCC in the summer of 2006, after Kristen had graduated college. And we are excited about our new addition to our family on September 7, Westin Alan Ebsen! As a family, our heart is to be able to be a part of what God is doing overseas! We look forward to serving the Lord wherever He may call us!

about us.
I was born in Fairfield, Ohio on September 7, 2010 at 9:49 pm. I was 8 lbs 2 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. My parents couldn’t wait to meet me! I was a week late, but I came at the perfect time. I love that my birthday is in September just like my Daddy. My parents chose Westin just because they liked it-- but, it is also inspired from Isaiah 43 as their prayer for my life. My middle name is Alan, named after my Grandpa, Greg Alan House (1955-1997). They call me Westin, Wes & sometimes “Dubs” as a fun nickname (read more about my name on Mommy’s blog here). You can also read all about my birth story on Mommy’s blog. She also likes to take lots of photos of me, so check them out on our website here! http://stellarmade.blogspot.com/2010/09/story-of-one-sweet-name.htmlhttp://stellarmade.blogspot.com/2010/09/our-birth-story.htmlphotos_%26_video_1./photos_%26_videos.htmlshapeimage_23_link_0shapeimage_23_link_1shapeimage_23_link_2
